Our practitioners combine the traditional Chinese methods with the scientific neurological approach to the nervous system stimulating and creating a balance between damaged or weak muscles. This is based on the neurobiological model indicating that acute pain and inflammation left untreated turns into lasting neuropathic pain including; tingling, numbness, and itchiness. If not treated properly the results are chronic pain syndromes, referred pain and systemic problems like sleeping disorder, cardiovascular disorders, nausea and allergies. 
By stimulating the nervous system directly, acupuncture can reduce stress, anxiety and depression, helping to alleviate the symptoms. Stress is often the cause of musculoskeletal pain and referred pain such as headaches or back pain.
